New In Lix: Upload Your PDFs Without Ever Leaving the Study App - 2 min read

Today’s student is using more than just textbooks to comprehend what’s covered in their courses. Curriculums often include articles, slides, compendiums and other forms of content that students get from both professors and classmates over the entire semester.

But it doesn’t stop there. Students often search for (and find) their own content on the internet—things like free books, images and articles—to supplement the content covered in their curriculum. And oftentimes it’s better and easier to comprehend. But keeping it all organized is another story! Not to worry—Lix is here to help!

Introducing My Files, students studying with Lix can now upload their own content—things like PDFs—without ever leaving the app. This way, they can stay organized all semester long! Let’s take a quick look at how My Files is helping to make studying easier (and way more fun).

Upload Your School Stuff

So, you’re struggling to understand your textbooks? You’re not alone. If you’re like most of us, it often feels like books are written in a foreign language, and oftentimes they are—especially for students reading in their second (or sometimes third) language. But wait…maybe you’ve found some supplementary reading material that better explains those hard-to-understand topics from your textbooks. Instead of misplacing that ‘must-have’ doc, upload it to Lix so you’ll never lose it!

Who says you have to learn in a linear way? Spice it up!

How’s it work?

Let’s get you started. Here’s how to upload your school stuff in Lix. We’ll break it down into 3 simple steps:

Step 1: Log in to your Lix app

Step 2: Once in your bookshelf, click on  ‘My Files,’ which appears at the top of your screen.

Step 3: When the new window opens, click on ‘+’ to upload your own PDFs.

Once you’ve uploaded your content, you can search through your PDFs just like you can in your Lix textbooks. So when you need to find things like Pareto efficiency or imperfect competition, simply type the keyword or phrase in the search bar, and voilà—it instantly appears. Additionally, you can take notes, highlight text and use all the other helpful Lix features directly in your uploaded PDFs. How cool!

Final Thoughts
